NATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2017 – NEGARAKU
PUTRAJAYA, 15TH MAY 2017 – National Youth Day (HBN) 2017 was organized with various activities held around Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur vicinity themed ‘Negaraku’. Institute for Youth Research Malaysia (IYRES) took part through the festivities promoting our products directly to youth as a way of spreading information and research results via exhibitions and National Youth Profiling (PBN). These platforms expose IYRES to community and gave them the chance to comprehend IYRES’ functions as well as improving the existing ‘E-Belia’ database system.
HBN 2017 provided an array of activities comprises of segments such as spiritual activities, social and entrepreneurship, arts and culture as well as education and skills held within Putrajaya. This event was organized by Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) held from 13th to 15th May 2017. Aside from Putrajaya, IYRES also involved in HBN celebration in Kuala Lumpur Tower through a satellite program, Urban Youth Festival organized by Pergerakan Belia Inspirasi aimed to create awareness and dispersing facts pertaining to education, career and sports among youth in Kuala Lumpur.
The highlight of HBN 2017 was the National Youth Convention that discussed National Transformation 2050 (TN50): The Space Nation for Leadership Aspiration and the bestowal to exceptional youth individuals and organizations through National Youth Premier Award. HBN 2017 celebration has gathered partnerships various agencies and NGOs that is aimed to empower Malaysian youth development.
